The aim of the Community Development team in Dublin South City Partnership is the creation of positive social change.
The Community Development team is made up of skilled workers who primarily support community groups focussed on a particular aspect of social exclusion. Local groups are supported to identify and agree on social needs. The community team then brings together the appropriate state agencies, e.g. Dublin City Council, Heath Service Executive, An Garda Síochána to address these needs. Over the last number of years considerable successes have been achieved by working in partnership with state agencies and the community.
We have a very experienced team who cover a range of themes, including Social Regeneration, Lone Parents, New Communities, Community Safety, People with Disabilities and Older People.
We are happy to make our experience and skills available to local groups addressing social exclusion across our whole area and we aim to work with groups towards achieving a more vibrant and inclusive community.
