Education for Young People
A core element of the Dublin South City Partnership work is combating education disadvantage and promoting lifelong learning. We aim to assist those children and young people and who require extra support to become involved in and progress through education and lifelong learning opportunities.
Our experienced team offers one to one supports to young people experiencing difficulties in school in order to combat early school leaving and to promote school retention.
We work with early years’ services, primary and second level schools, colleges of further education, the youth sector and other statutory and community groups. We identify needs and issues of concern in conjunction with local communities and together we plan and support appropriate programmes.
We have a broad range of community based education programmes for young children and adults, college taster courses for people interested in returning to education, and our Get Connected programme provides supports for young people starting in college.
If you are unemployed and would like to explore your options with regard to further education and training make an appointment to talk to one of our Guidance team and see how we can help you develop your potential.
