Project-based learning activities
Throughout the years, the Lifelong Learning team submits applications for funding for specific project-based activities.
Intercultural Cooking Project
The idea for an Intercultural Cooking Project was born at an Erasmus+ Training Workshop attended by the LLL staff of Dublin South City Partnership.
The Project was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Dublin South City Partnership and Fatima Groups United.
This Project brought together people together from diverse cultural backgrounds to share their traditional dishes. One of the standout features of this project is the detailed guidance provided for each dish. Contributors have meticulously outlined the steps involved in preparing their recipes, making it accessible even for novice cooks.
The booklet goes beyond mere instructions by offering insights into where to purchase authentic ingredients and a cost breakdown for each recipe, making it as easy as possible to achieve successful dishes.
The Intercultural Cooking Project was a resounding success according to the feedback of participants.
Photo Exhibition - Seeing the Bigger Picture

Archive photographs compare images of the same places today – taken by our participants. The booklet is curated with commentary from people, living or working in those places, reflecting on changes in their lives over the past 20 years.
