Dublin South City Partnership works to create economic, social and culturally strong and vibrant communities. We work with individuals and communities especially those that are experiencing poverty and exclusion. To achieve our aims we work in partnership with community, voluntary and state bodies.

What We Do

The main purpose of Dublin South City Partnership is to promote support disadvantaged communities, promote social inclusion, support enterprise development and employment creation, facilitate access to education, training and lifelong learning and assist community groups in identifying needs and developing local solutions.

Dublin South City Partnership (DSCP) is a local development organisation based across a large part of south Dublin city which addresses issues of disadvantage, unemployment and social exclusion. We cover parts of D4, 6, 6w, 8 and 12, and the area incorporates a very diverse range of communities.

The main purpose of Dublin South City Partnership is to promote support disadvantaged communities, promote social inclusion, support enterprise development and employment creation, facilitate access to education, training and lifelong learning and assist community groups in identifying needs and developing local solutions.

 

Dublin South City Partnership offers a range of supports under the following programmes: Social Inclusion Community & Activation Programme (SICAP), TÚS Programme, Local Employment Network Service, Job Club, Ability Programme. The programmes come under the 3 types of supports for Unemployed, Education and Community. They have an important role in developing innovative responses to local problems, and in building local capabilities to address local needs and develop local resources and services.

 

Dublin South City Partnership delivers the SICAP programme on behalf of Dublin City Local Community Development Committee, which is a committee of Dublin City Council. The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2018-2022 is funded by the Irish Government through the Department of Rural and Community Development and co-funded by the European Social Fund under the Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020
