My background is banking and retail operations but I always had a passion for crafting and whilst working in my career completed many courses to learn the skill of making soft furnishings. My passion was born from a desire to make customised pieces for my own home and family and friends. I then saw that there was a gap in the market for my business and launched Nana Robin Designs.

DSCP were there right at the start offering support to build a solid foundation in establishing my business with their various start your own business courses, accounting, mentorship and enhancing my network to be around other like minded individuals who are in a similar journey. My advice is to always reach out as it can be a lovely journey establishing your own business and through utilising the supports offered to me has made such a difference to feeling confident in running my business. Covid and Brexit posed sone challenges but after pivoting my business it has allowed me to concentrate on my hero products and my target audience even more.
