Lifelong Learning - Erasmus+ 2026
Learning Exchange in Dublin, Ireland – 23 to 27 March 2026

In 2023, the LifeLong Learning team in Dublin South City Partnership secured accreditation with Erasmus+, as a Community Adult Education provider. This results in funding each year to promote learning opportunities for the various teams of people we work with.

Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
The programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.
It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The programme also supports the European Pillar of Social Rights.

Having accreditation is providing us with the opportunity to widen our horizons, as learners and practitioners in adult education; to see how other countries and organisations work and what they do; and to share our experience both away and when we come back.

Lifelong Learning – Erasmus+
Dublin South City Partnership Welcomes Erasmus+ Participants from Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Poland

From 23 to 27 March 2026, Dublin South City Partnership’s Lifelong Learning Team welcomed 24 participants from Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Poland as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

The five-day visit provided a valuable opportunity for learners and staff to engage in intercultural exchange, develop new skills, and build connections in a welcoming and supportive environment. A varied programme of group activities, workshops, and informal conversations encouraged participants to share experiences and learn from one another.

Learning activities were complemented by opportunities to experience Irish culture. Participants took part in creative art sessions, photography walks, and cultural activities, while also discovering more about Dublin and Ireland. These experiences created opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange, allowing participants to share aspects of their own countries and traditions.

English conversation was an important element throughout the programme, providing participants with a relaxed and encouraging environment in which to practise their communication skills and build confidence.

The week concluded with time to explore Dublin, giving participants an opportunity to experience the city and reflect on an enjoyable and enriching week. The visit resulted in new friendships, shared experiences, and positive memories for everyone involved.

Dublin South City Partnership would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the learners, volunteers, and tutors whose time, enthusiasm, and commitment contributed significantly to the success of the Erasmus+ visit. Their support helped create a warm and inclusive experience for all participants and played an important role in making the programme a memorable one.
