Lucie, like other enterprising founders, started her career with over 20 years of experience in the Nursing and Homecare sectors but then changed to an industry that allowed her to be customer-centric and to build her communication skills. After observing gaps in the market for older people who want to remain in their homes but need company and some support, Lucie decided to launch The Home Share in 2017. Lucie worked endlessly to promote Home Share in Ireland and was proud when the Irish Government was the first Government in the World to include Home Share into policy. As if Lucie isn’t busy enough building the Home Share, she is also a board member of the Irish Social Enterprise Network (ISEN) and is passionate about Social Enterprises and supporting those in the sector. The Home Share always has time for new social enterprises or existing ones looking to collaborate. Lucie is always networking upskilling and listening to feedback which allows her to keep innovating on her business model and diversifying the service offering.

The Home Share gets most of its recommendations through word of mouth from Householders who have had a wonderful experience home sharing, their adult children on the social impact it has on their family wellbeing as well as from the Housemates who have found the experience life changing. The Home Share predominantly operates in Dublin, Cork, and Galway but is always asked to expand its services further.
