The Green Kitchen & Garden

Shop is a social enterprise that partners with WALK. Since 2014, it prides itself on its tasty, nutritious, home-cooked foods and the café has a relaxed, community atmosphere where the staff like to get to know their customers. 

It supports, trains and creates employment pathways for people who have disabilities. Many of these people go on to secure paid employment and have gained new confidence in themselves and in their abilities, which is life-changing for them and their families. All of them feel like they are in a secure, welcoming working environment where they can learn at their own pace. It also provides an opportunity to make new friends and to build numerous skills. 

Their outdoor area and community vibe has come into its own since the pandemic and it is a hidden gem in Dublin 12 for great food and a tranquil meal in a comfortable outdoor setting. Their environment is surrounded by gorgeous plants, shrubs and gardening accessories that is on offer at the Nursery. They also offer horticulturist’s advice.
